2011 Rules & Regulations

1. Membership- $30 ($20 of each membership will go toward angler of the year payout). Membership is required to fish any of our events.

2. Alcohol- No alcoholic beverages may be consumed during regular tournament hours.

3. Boats- must meet Coast Guard specifications. Must have a kill switch, factory installed console & any aerated live well suitable to sustain a tournament catch. No ladder, platforms or coolers may be used to catch bedding fish, only standard equipment may be used to stand on. Life jackets (Coast Guard Approved) must be worn when the boat is on plane. You cannot leave the boat for any reason unless for emergencies. Boats must be at least 16ft in length for all championships.

4. Protests- must be submitted in writing within 15 minutes from close of scales. All state, federal & local laws must be abide by.

5. Teams- May weigh 5 fish 12 inches in length unless state, federal or local laws differ. Measuring will be on a flat board with mouth closed (will fan or pinch tail). Teams weighing in a short fish will be accessed a (1)lb penalty. Teams bringing more than 5 fish to the scales will be disqualified. A penalty of .50 lbs per dead fish will be deducted from total weight. Only largemouth, smallmouth & spotted bass will be scored. You must cull your fish after you catch the 6th fish (no culling at the ramp). Teams returning to the checkpoint late will lose (1) lb per min. up to 15 min. after that you will be disqualified. No fishing allowed within 25 yards of an anchored boat with trolling motor out of water without permission from the other boat. There will be no trolling. Only one rod may be used at any time. All fish weighed in become the property of C&J Team Trails.

6. Scoring- 1st place will get 100 points & descend down 1 point per place. Anyone scratching will be awarded 5 points below last place points. If you pay for the tournament & do not show up you will still get credit for the tournament & be awarded scratch points. If there is a tie both teams will receive same place points with the next team receiving next place points. All money will be divided between the 2 teams (example 1st & 2nd place money will be added together & divided, big bass money will go to the team with big bass if one of them are in the tie).

7. Substitution- Substitutions will not be allowed. You must start and finish the entire year with your original partner. If your partner cannot make an event you can fish it alone and the team will get credit.

8. Entry form- Both team members must fill out completely & sign their entry form (mandatory) no exceptions at each tournament (must be able to read).

9. Entry fee- All entries paid back at championships (100% payback).Regular events- pay (Cash only no checks) the morning of each event and cash will be paid out after each tournament. Entry fee for the Team Championship will be $100.

10. Angler of the year. We will pay out 1 place for 1-10 teams(100%) and 2 places for 11-20 teams(60/40) and so on at the end of the year out of the membership fees paid($20 of membership fee goes to this). If there is a tie on the last event the team with the most weight will be the tie breaker.

11. Insurance- I understand and acknowledge that boating and fishing is a dangerous sport. I have sufficient health, accident and liability insurance to cover any bodily or property injury claim arising from my participation in this event. (Must show proof of insurance)

12. Liability- I hereby release, discharge, and agree to hold harmless C&J Team Trails, it's officers, directors, sponsors or hosts of any and all liability, claims, demands, actions or rights of action which are related to or anyway connected to my participation in this event.

13. Cell phones- may be used only for emergencies, talk to directors or with lock masters. You are not to be talking with anyone else this includes (friends & family) strongly enforced.

14. Championship Qualifying. Each TEAM must fish at least 4 events to fish the Championship. If one of the team members cannot make the required 4 events the other member can fish alone and the “TEAM” will get credit for the event, also if neither member can make an event and wants to pay the entry fee even though they will not be at the event they can and will get credit for that event. Each contestant will only be allowed to prefish with their regular partner. Contestants will not be allowed to discuss with anyone other than participating members that would help in any way assist them during the week of each championship. (Mandatory no exceptions)

15. Participation and Eligibility- One contestant must be at least 18 years old fishing in each event. Contestants under the age of 18 must have written consent allowing them to fish any C&J Team Trails event. C&J Team Trail Tournaments are open to all people regardless of race, sex religion or national origin. C&J Team Trails reserves the right to refuse any application for membership and/or tournament entry fees.

16. Off Limits- There will be an off limits period starting at 12:00am the Monday prior to each event. Anyone caught fishing during the off limits period will promptly be disqualified from the remainder of the season.
